OBDII Bench Harness for LS Gen 3 PCM ECM Engine Programming Control Module Reer W/Power Supply for GM Chevy 1999-2007
158,99 €
Description:
【COMPATIBILITY】Designed for GM Chevy vehicles from 1999-2007, specifically for LS Gen III ECM/PCM programming and diagnostics. This LS1 Gen III bench harness works flawlessly with HP Tuners, standard OBDII scan tools, and other programming devices that communicate through the OBDII port. It powers both the BLUE PCM connector and the OBDII port using a single 12V wall adapter.
Note: Only the BLUE PCM connector is required for tuning; green/red connectors are not needed.
The core function of this “programming harness for Gen 3” is to serve as a stable and reliable physical bridge, connecting professional diagnostic computers and the vehicle’s core electronic systems In order to perform advanced operations that require high-speed, lossless data transmission, for vehicles based on General Motors’ third-generation electronic platform:
1. Control unit programming and coding
2. Software refresh and update
3. Deep system diagnosis and troubleshooting
Without it, critical software related repairs and maintenance on these modern vehicles would be impossible or pose extremely high risks.
Application:
Allows programming of Gen III (LS1, 4.3, 4.8, 5.3, 5.7, 6.0, 8.1L) ECMs out of the vehicle.
Works for all Blue/Red and Blue/Green 1999-2007 PCM/ECMs.
Will work with any tuning software, including:
1. EFI Live
2. HP Tuners
3. Tuner Cats
NOTE:This is only a Gen III bench top programming harness.Tuning equipment and software are not included.
Features:
This Gen 3 LS ECM Programming Bench Harness allows you to read and program the Engine Control Module (ECM) and the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) outside of the vehicle for tuning, testing or troubleshooting purposes. The harness simulates the vehicle’s electrical system, enabling the ECM to receive data while remaining protected during bench testing and programming.
1. High speed data communication.
2. Lossless data transmission.
3. Stable data communication.
4. Compatible with Schneider Tech2, Universal GDS2 system, AutoDiag, etc.
5. Deep System Diagnosis.
6. Suitable for many General Motors models from 2010 to present.
Functions:
1. Connection and communication bridge
1). Connect one end to professional diagnostic programming equipment (such as Schneider Tech2 follow-up tools, General GDS2 system, etc.) AutoDiag、 Or other top-level comprehensive diagnostic equipment.
2). The other end is connected to the vehicle’s OBD-II diagnostic interface, or in some cases, directly connected to a specific control unit (such as ECU, TCM, etc.).
3). Its key lies in its internal circuit design and shielding treatment, which can ensure signal stability and interference free in high-speed data communication required for programming and diagnosis.
2. Vehicle software programming and refresh
1). The control unit (computer) of a car is like our phones and computers, requiring software to run.
2). ECU/module programming: When replacing new parts such as the engine computer (ECU), transmission computer (TCM), body control module (BCM), etc., this wiring harness must be used to write vehicle specific software and data into the new module.
3). Software update: Automakers will release software updates to fix known issues, improve performance, or enhance fuel economy. The maintenance technician uses this wiring harness to perform these updates.
4). Vehicle configuration: Code the control unit to match its functions with the specific configuration of the vehicle (such as engine model, transmission type, optional equipment).
3. Deep system diagnosis
1). Beyond basic OBD-II diagnostics, it can access all electronic control units on the vehicle’s internal network (such as GM LAN bus).
2). Read and clear high-level manufacturer specific fault codes.
3). Perform proactive testing and view advanced data streams from various sensors and control units in real-time.
4. Specific functions and modifications
1). Performance tuning: In some car models, it can be used to refresh the ECU’s “performance program” to improve power.
2). Function activation/deactivation: It is possible to encode the activation or deactivation of certain vehicle functions (such as automatic start stop memory, remote start, safety features, etc.).
What is’ Gen 3 ‘?
Gen 3 “usually refers to General Motors’ third-generation electronic architecture (Generation 3). This platform has been widely used on many General Motors models since around 2010, including:
Chevrolet: Cruze, Malibu, Impala, Equinox, Traverse, Camaro, Corvette, etc
Buick: Regal, LaCrosse, Encore, Encore, etc
Cadillac: ATS, CTS, XTS, SRX, etc
GMC: Terrain, Acadia, etc
The electronic systems of these vehicles are very complex, requiring extremely high stability and speed for programming and diagnosis. Ordinary OBD cables cannot meet the requirements, so this specialized “programming harness” is needed.
